— About Us — My father, James W. Mills, was an old-fashioned, one-stroke sign painter — and he was good. Whether it was a highway sign with Scotchlite™ or a bank window with 23++ carat gold leaf, he created a quality sign. With a double major in art and English, he also taught school for many years. While growing up in Ennis, Texas, I played in his shop, watched him paint, climbed up on the walkboard with him, and applied Scotchlite™ to Harry Burden's signs. My mother is an accomplished painter, and her oil paintings of pastoral scenes bring peaceful thoughts to the viewers. It was in this environment that I learned a lot and gained an appreciation for the art and graphic design industry. Today, my business incudes designing and handling production for ads, full-color brochures and cards, books, and political advertising products.
